    Diploma Qualified Educator - Community Based Service - Sydney West

    Hamilton’s Education and Care are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected long-standing community based, not for profit kindergarten that adopts an educational philosophy that sees children as capable learners and individually unique; values the contribution of families and recognises they are the child’s first and most influential educator; and subscribes to the theory that children learn best through play, hands on discovery with the support of educators who value and establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with children. Through natural attrition an opening for dedicated educator committed to high quality care and practice is now available.


    About the position 

    Providing care and education for 37 children a day, aged 2-5 years from 7.00am to 6.00pm you will have the option to work with either the 2-3’s or 3-5’s group with varying start to finish times between the services opening and closing times. This position is supported by a team that mostly hold a minimum Diploma level qualification with many pursuing further studies, making this a well-supported role with access to mentoring for new graduates. As a qualified educator you will be expected to support, guide and care for children and contribute to the learning program and  environment adopting a team-teaching approach. Being relationship driven means you will have capacity to build authentic, respectful relationships with families, the community and team.     About You

    To be a successful applicant it is essential you have: 

    • Diploma of Children Services qualifications, recognised by ACECQA
    • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check
    • Approved first aid qualifications; CPR, anaphylaxis, and emergency asthma management
    • Understanding of child protection responsibilities as a mandatory reporter
    • Excellent verbal and written skills in communication
    • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and National Regulations
    • Confidence with documentation and programming and good understanding of the EYLF and NQS
