    Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) - Part-Time 30hrs pw

    Our client is an Aboriginal Child and Family Centre  recruiting for an EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER to complement their professional and friendly team.

    This a part-time teaching position in which you will collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor to develop and support the teaching and educational program for a 48 place, birth- 6 years education and care Centre. The position will start 17th January 2022 with hours 9.30am- 3.30pm, 5 days a week. In accordance with the funding bodies and specific integrated programs offered in the community, it is a requirement that the successful applicant MUST be of or identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

    Essential Criteria: 

    • You must be a person who is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander or Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander 
    • You will have demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal children and families in a culturally sensitive manner 
    • Bachelor of Teaching/Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent as approved by ACECQA 
    • NESA Teacher Accreditation Number 
    • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of a curriculum program that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) outcomes AND principles and strong understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Standard and requirements of the current Child Protection Acts and the Education & Care Services National Law & Regulations 
    • Ability to support established relationships of the team and develop and strengthen partnerships with parents and families. 
    • Communicate positively and openly with children, staff and families on an ongoing basis and sense of adaptability and a deep respect and understanding of cultural diversity. 
    • Bring energy and currency in your practice and reflection
