    Centre Director

    This full-time position, located in Baulkham Hills, cares for babies and children from birth to school age in education and care environments where the care, safety, and working in the best interest of the child is paramount. They provide an educational curriculum that responds to the individual needs of the children in our care, providing a program that engages each child, promotes learning and discovery, fosters a positive self-image, and a child’s independence and self-help skills

     

     

    About the role

    We are seeking a leader who understands that relationships are the basis of quality.  This role is a Permanent Fulltime position working 38 hours per week and requires you to oversee the operations of the Centre and responsibilities  as the Educational Leader.

    You will be working across a variety of shift times, with a mix of working directly with children and administration time.

    Supported by an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, vision, and guidance of the daily operation of the program catering for 0-5 years. You will be a leader who is looking to grow and develop the  skills of your team and establish positive relationships with families and local community.

    You will display a  commitment to promoting profile of the Centre within the community through direct marking and provision of a quality program,  with an understanding that reputation is key to becoming the “ program of choice” in the community.

     

    To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with current NESA Teacher Accreditation  or Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood
    • Experience having managed a team at Director or 2IC level for a minimum of 2 years
    • Understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard, and requirements of the current Child Protection Acts & the Education & Care Services National Law & Regulation
    • Excellent relationship building and communication skills

    Cook Position - Permanent Part-Time 25hrs

    Job description

    Are you a cook who enjoys working in an environment with young children?

    The staff team is enthusiastic and supportive of each other.

    The Cook position:

    • 25 hours a week. This is spread out as 5 hours a day Monday through to Friday.
    • There is the ongoing possibility that you can be asked to do additional paid hours if you have an early childhood qualification (ie Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood), to assist in the rooms with the children.  This would be optional and you would be asked on each occasion regarding these additional hours

    To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

     Skills and Qualifications:  

    • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain
    • A current Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain
    • A current child protection qualification or willing to obtain
    • Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain

    • Passion for creating healthy children’s meals
    • Prepare meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies

    Your key priorities will be to:

    • Periodically and seasonally review menu plans and ensure they adhere to centre budgets
    • Ensure complete familiarity with special dietary needs of children within the centre
    • Maintaining a clean kitchen space

    Preferred

    • Previous cook experience in a child care centre
    • Menu Planning Certificate
    • Other relevant training in Commercial Cookery or in Early Childhood
    • Certificate III or Diploma In Children Services

    You will be joining a friendly and inclusive team and instill reflective practice within a 36 place long day care Centre who has operating hours of 7.30am-6.00pm, 50 weeks of the year. They are committed to the care and early childhood education of each and every child.

    Our client has been running their highly regarded, private Centre’s in The Hills since 2010. The Owner is Early Childhood qualified and experienced so this small family owned organization’s philosophy centers around providing the best care and education for children aged birth to 6 years in a warm, caring, fun and stimulating environment.

    The Owner is now expanding and making their mark in Sydney’s Inner West, establishing a purpose built 75 place early years program in one of Sydney’s most beautiful and sought out location, Croydon. To be a great service they need a great Leader!
